Part of the Waterview Tunnel Connection project this facility was built to manufacture around 24,000 tunnel segments forming the inner walls of the twin three-lane tunnels. Work included:
A 6,000m2 heavy industry warehouse of structural steel and precast concrete structure with coloursteel roofing and cladding on a reinforced concrete slab.
Batch plant foundations, column plinths and underground hoppers, channel drains including all excavations, subgrade prepping, concrete slabs and thickenings, and waterproofing of the proposed holding pit.
