This 800m2 two-level modern science block contains 10 laboratories, a classroom, a technician room, staff area, and amenities.
All laboratories feature specialist Novolab joinery and are serviced by fume cupboards with ducted extraction, water and gas supply, and chemical waste outlets.
The building has an atmosphere controlled actuated system to automatically operate the numerous windows according to CO2 and humidity levels.
The bottom level of the building is structural steel; the top level is structural timber-framed with exposed 240 x 90mm imported spruce timber trusses.
Construction methodology was sequenced to ensure minimal disruption to the school terms. We began this project by building a 400m temporary road around the perimeter of the school fields to gain access to site.
