St Peter’s College has served the Catholic community since 1939 and its campus adjacent to the Southern Motorway flyover in Grafton is a historic and distinctive part of the Auckland landscape.
In late 2021, Cassidy Construction began a full refurbishment and seismic upgrade of the college’s three-storey science block, which dates back to the 1960s.
After a partial demolition and strip-out we completed foundation and seismic upgrades, then installed a new roof, façade and windows, including remedial work to repair water damage.
During the internal fit-out stage we carried out a general passive fire upgrade throughout the building. We installed new mechanical services, plumbing, gas and electrics, and lastly we fitted out the classrooms with new work benches and furniture, ready for student use once again.
