Freyberg Park Changing Rooms

The old Rugby club was demolished a few years ago and since then Freyberg Park has been in need of new facilities. Cassidy Construction were contracted by Auckland Council to construct and deliver a new changing room and toilet facility at Freyberg Park, Browns Bay.

The building consists of concrete foundations, with raised internal and external slabs to bring the building height above the historical flood plain level. The walls are all precast panels construction, with outer panels consisting of an architectural rebated finish to provide depth and texture. Structural steel ties the panels together and forms the structure for the roofing.

This new facility is designed to service the local public and sports team, with two changing rooms fitted-out with bathroom and shower facilities. Along with public bathroom facilities.

The success of this project was driven by the close collaborative efforts between Cassidy Construction, Auckland Council, and various consultants.
