Late in 2018, Cassidy Construction was engaged to construct a commercial warehouse to house a large indoor trampoline park and office block with full amenities. The challenge here was that the client wanted the trampoline park in operation in just six months from our contract award.
The structure involved precast panels, Steltech structural steel portal frames and shop-front glazing. We also undertook the internal fit-out of the office block. Site works included installing a complex groundwater recharge system with a tank volume of about 865m3, as well as landscaping and pavement surfaces.
To achieve the critical completion date, we developed a fast-track programme that allowed the tenant access so they could fit out the building while construction continued. As a self-performing contractor, we were able to boost our workforce to accelerate progress and ensure the successful completion of the project, from ground works to finishing, in time for the required opening date of Easter 2019.
