This extensive Waitomo flagship service station is located in the Ruakura Superhub east of Hamilton, within in the ‘golden triangle’ for New Zealand’s supply chain.
Our brief was to construct an eight-lane canopy with 16 refuelling stations, a separate truck stop, a carwash and a precast concrete shop with three separate tenancies. We also completed all associated siteworks and slabs.
The Cassidy team worked as a subcontractor to the fuels contractor and alongside the client’s civil contractor. This presented differing priorities within the programme, but our thorough drawing review and holistic building information modelling (BIM) process identified potential risks in advance, so we could plan ahead to avoid any problems during the build.
