An extensive flagship build for Waitomo in the developing eastern boundary of Hamilton and the Ruakura Superhub. This service centre sits within in the ‘golden triangle’ for New Zealand’s supply chain and it will be anchored by a 30-hectare inland port.
Works included the construction of an 8 lane canopy, truck stop, precast concrete shop with three separate tenancies,
a car wash and all associated siteworks and slabs.
The Cassidy team worked as a subcontractor to the fuels contractor and alongside the client’s civil contractor – a challenging situation which presented differing priorities within the programme.
Fortunately, our thorough drawing review and our BIM process identified potential risks and we planned to avoid any consequences during the build.
