In the shadow of Mt Iron, this BP Connect looks a little different to other BPs around the country. In keeping with the Queenstown Lakes District the build was unique with schist (stone) stone walls built around the shop and the MID sign. The ‘mock cladding’ look to the precast panels was also unique for a service station.
Located near Puzzling World in the new Three Parks development, this service station replaces the existing BP in town.
The site has an 8 lane canopy, carwash, jetwash and a new shop.
Construction was disrupted by COVID lockdown Level 4. Cassidy Construction worked closely with NZ government regulations in order to resume work as soon as the country moved into Level 3. The delay meant that the team grappled with the harsh conditions of an Otago winter, this became a challenge near the end of the project when pouring asphalt became restricted to certain conditions.
