Our action plan

At Cassidy Construction, we are committed to creating meaningful social impact through intentional employment pathways, skills development and long-term opportunities within the construction sector.

Our Social and Cultural Change Action Plan focuses on creating growth opportunities for all the people in our business, ensuring they have safe, healthy workplaces, improving supplier diversity, and building positive change in our communities.

We’re proud to say that many members of our team have been with us for years, if not decades. It’s one of the great strengths of our company, and it’s no accident. We make a point of training, resourcing and supporting our people well – partly because we’re one big family and we want our people and their whānau to have good lives, but also because keeping our team stable allows us to provide continuity to our clients, so they can be assured of a holistic partnership for the life of their assets.

Social procurement

We see social procurement as a core part of our business and a responsibility to the communities we work within. Our initiatives include:

  • Building sustainable career pathways for young people
  • Supporting apprenticeships and industry training
  • Engaging with organisations that support priority jobseekers
  • Providing equitable access to construction careers across diverse communities
