A 1400m2 kiwifruit packhouse extension to two faces of an existing building, in Auckland’s prime agricultural zone.
Concrete foundations and slab supported the all-timber structure, which is in keeping with existing buildings on site. Over 1.3 kilometers of new 400 x 90 Hyjoist purlins were installed during the extension to create the 10m span.
The project was completed in the off-season and the buildings were closed in, allowing the client’s equipment to be installed as it arrived on site, ready for the next packing season.
