This Project came about due to the failure of the original transformer. During the COVID-19 lockdown we had to undertake emergency works to install a temporary steel support frame/bund while a design for the new building was completed.
With the design stage finished, we are now in the construction phase for the transformer’s new home. This involves in-situ concrete foundations and transformer plinth, with precast walls. One of the elevations is removable for future works.
On completion, the transformer was skidded into the building and cabling installed by Electrix. Works were completed during late September 2023.
