Work is progressing well on a new 33kV switchroom we are building for Vector in Māngere.
Our team was hit by a couple of early curveballs, including a flooded site caused by a burst water main from another contractor the day before we started, along with a higher-than-expected water table.
Despite this, they pushed through to keep piling and ground beams on track in preparation for precast panels and poured concrete floors. Once the roof has been installed they will move to the next phase, including intumescent painting and cable ladder installation.
Outside, our self-performing civil crew continues to make good progress with the ducting and retaining wall block installation.
